Glomac Contributes to Kelab Veteran Utusan
Melayu Malaysia (KVUMM)
As a caring corporate citizen, Glomac Berhad recently supported the Kelab Veteran Utusan Melayu Malaysia (KVUMM) and its activities. To aid KVUMM, Dato’ FD Iskandar Tan Sri Dato’ FD Mansor, Glomac’s Group Managing Director cum Chief Executive Officer presented a cheque to KVUMM’s Dato’ Raja Ahmad Niza Raja Ismail. Witnesses at the cheque presentation ceremony included Glomac’s Group Executive Chairman Tan Sri Dato’ FD Mansor, and KVUMM Patron Tan Sri Zainuddin Maidin.
Glomac Participates in Rat Race 2010
For the 10th consecutive year, Glomac has participated in the annual Rat Race jointly organised by The Edge and Bursa Malaysia. Glomac’s spirit and motivated participation in this race since 2001 shows its commitment towards aiding the less fortunate.
Glomac Encourages Reading at Sek. Ren. & Men. Saujana Utama As part of Glomac’s efforts to improve the reading habits of students, Glomac Berhad recently donated boxes of reading materials to both Saujana Utama primary and secondary schools. In his speech Dato’ FD Iskandar reiterated that Glomac Berhad has always supported the improvement of education as a way of giving back to the community. Held at Saujana Utama’s clubhouse in Sungai Buloh, the ceremony was completed with the presentation of the book entitled “Najib: Malaysia’s 6th Prime Minister” to both Principal of Saujana Utama Secondary School Puan Salmah binti Yassin, and representative of Saujana Utama Primary School’s Headmaster, Encik Amiruddin bin Buyong. Gracing the event as guest of honour was Tuan Haji Yusoff HM Haniff, Political Secretary to Deputy of Prime Minister cum Education Minister.
Glomac Celebrates Ramadhan with Rumah Aman
Glomac recently hosted a breaking of fast with 30 children from Rumah Aman Orphanage Home at their premises in Shah Alam. More than 250 guests came to break fast with the children and their caretakers. In celebration of the holy month, Glomac also made a donation to Rumah Aman. Guest of honour in attendance was YB Dato’ Seri Haji Shafie bin Haji Apdal, Minister of Rural and Regional Development.
