Glomac Berhad and Maybank commemorated the establishment of Glomac\u2019s Islamic Medium Term Notes Programme of up to RM3.0 billion in nominal value, based on the Shariah principle of Wakalah Bi Al-Istithmar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Proceeds from issuances under this programme will be utilised for strategic purposes, including land acquisition, capital expenditure, and working capital requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under this arrangement, Glomac Berhad is the issuer, while Maybank Investment Bank Berhad acts as the Sole Principal Adviser, Sole Lead Arranger, and Sole Lead Manager. Maybank Islamic Berhad serves as the Shariah Adviser for the Sukuk Wakalah Programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This marks a significant milestone for Glomac as we continue to strengthen our financial position. The initiative aligns with our long-term strategy to pursue new opportunities that complement our core businesses in property development, property investment, and construction. In addition, we are actively exploring diversification into emerging sectors such as green energy initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The signing ceremony was graced by Datuk Seri FD Iskandar, representing Glomac Berhad, and Mr. Michael Oh-Lau, CEO of Maybank Investment Banking Group, representing Maybank. Also in attendance were Tan Sri FD Mansor, Tan Sri Zamzamzairani Mohd Isa, Chairman of Maybank, esteemed members of the Board of Directors, and senior management and officials from both organisations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are excited about this strategic partnership with Maybank and believe that this collaboration will further fortify Glomac\u2019s credibility and market positioning as one of Malaysia\u2019s preferred property developers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
